Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Popularly known as the eighth wonder of the world, the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. 16 km in diameter and enclosed in walls over 600 meters high-its surroundings a spectacle for over 24,000 large mammals.
More than 100 species of birds not found in the Serengeti have been found in this crater.
Other game views includes Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Elephants, Warthog, Impala, Buffalo, Hartebeest, Eland, Reedbuck, Thompson gazelles.
An excursion to the archeological site at Olduvai Gorge is worthwhile.
Full day bird watching in the crater and photography is worthwhile.
Walking safaris as well as game viewing.
Canoeing is the other activity.
Trekking activities can be arranged to reach the volcanoes of the Crater Highlands from the Ngorongoro Crater
(Oldoinyolengai, lemagurut, Oldeani, Empakaai, Olmotim) deep
in the Northwest of Ngorongoro. Here it is possible to see the
famous discoveries.
